Day 134 - Saturday May 15th 2010
Another day another birthday. Today it's AK's birthday down at a park in Glebe. It's a beautiful almost winter day, but as the sun goes down, so does the temperature. And yes - we left for home quite soon after this so I could rug up in the bear feet and doona suit.

Yawn. 7am conference call at work. This is what the outside of my office looks like at about 6.45 in the morning.

Day 131 - Wednesday May 12th 2010
One of us has turned a year older... so to celebrate - we're at the Balcony Bar for an evening of $10 Mojitos and Tapas. Maybe we should have eaten more and drunk less. But we did make it an official birthday - with Cake!

Day 129 - Monday May 10th 2010
I'm sick of taking photos of the house after work, so I'm going to try and set up morning shots this week. So I think you'll need to get ready for some grassy, nature type shots. This morning we had a great view of a slightly foggy city skyline through the trees.

It's Mothers Day today, and Tim and I are talking out Mum x 2 for an afternoon of lunching in the pub and some lovely white wine. Thanks Mums for everything!

Day 127 - Saturday May 8th 2010
I bought a new Flash for the camera - and picked it up today. (the 430EX II). Since I've been asked to do the photos for a friend's wedding, I had to practise my flash photography - and so Tim had to be my model. As you can see - I haven't got the settings quite right yet...

Day 126 - Friday May 7th 2010
Tim and I are convinced that you can't get good Mexican food in Sydney. Tonight we're trying Izote where we're heading with some friends. The servings were huge and there was no Tequila (!?), but the cord tortillas were quite tasty. Overall I'd give it a solid 7, not terrible but not better than anything I've had at home or cooked by a friend. These prawns were actually a lot tastier than they look here. These look giant!

Day 125 - Thursday May 6th 2010
Tonight we're out at the Metro to see Kid Koala's new project The Slew. Like Led Zepplin meets Mix Master Mike, the show was pretty good despite the small crowd. It was however the first time I'd seen the Chandelier at the Metro not tied up to the roof.

Day 123 - Tuesday May 4th 2010
Some days there's just nothing inspiring to take a photo of. Then you do something stupid like spill hot chocolate all over the kitchen. Snap.
Day 122 - Monday May 3rd 2010
Tim is chaining himself to the computer this week to get out some work for a Friday deadline. Lucky he has this great little wireless keyboard to make typing that much easier.

Day 121 - Sunday May 2nd 2010
Sundays are for fun things like cleaning bathrooms and washing the clothes. Fortunately I don't was clothes, I just take photos of them.
Day 120 - Saturday May 1st 2010
Nothing like a good hens night for a penis or two. At the Artful Hen in East Sydney - we had two hours of life drawing. Here were some of our results.

Day 119 - Friday April 30th 2010
Welcome back to the Pizza blog within a blog. This time we're at Fourth Village Providore
in Mosman to see if it really is worthy of a Sydney Top 10 Pizza reward. Plus it's a date with both our families.
Bonus points first for the cute Italian waiters who all must have fun with the elder Mosman Cougars.....
As for the Pizza - very disappointed that all of the vegetarian options were on a white base - while the meat lovers get all of the tomato bases. On arrival the Pizza's looked great and the crusts were perfect. However - the base got soggy very quickly and the ingredients weren't nearly as fresh tasting a places such as Lucios.
Overall - $35 p/h and the rating a #4 out of all of the Pizza places we've rates to date. Lift your game Mosman!

Day 118 - Thursday April 29th 2010
Whose idea was it to do this stupid blog. I'm so busy that I can't even cook myself toast anymore. Here's a summary of today. Cheap thai takeaway after a 14 hour day.

Day 117 - Wednesday April 28th 2010
It's been a busy day, work offsites, meetings in the city - and then no time to cook. As seems to be the norm for mid week meals - Tim and I head to Balmain for our favourite Fish and Chips. And you thought you'd get a photo of the food. No such luck. This is the best Drinks Fridge in Sydney - and photo evidence now exists.

Day 113 - Saturday April 24 2010
A rainy Saturday in Canberra and there's not much else to do except go bowling. Who would have thought that we'd get our second bowling outing in 2 weeks, and unfortunately I wasn't able to better my score of 139. It didn't really matter though as our mate got an amazing 6 strikes in a row. Lucky we got photo evidence.

Heading home to Sydney after our long weekend... on a bus. This will be our home for the next 3 hours.
Day 114 - Sunday April 25th 2010
It's ANZAC Day - and what better way to spend it than at the Canberra Services Club playing 2 UP. Tim, loving an audience, lined up to be spinner... and here he is in the middle of the pit.

Day 111 - Thursday April 21st 2010
I treated myself to a luxurious facial / massage at Alkaline in Potts Point. I never splurge on things like this, but after buying a half price treatment (thanks Ouffer!) I now know what I am going to spend more money on when I am rich. This photo was an attempt to catch the glow of my skin that a felt. Doesn't quite to it justice - but it was well worth it.

Day 110 - Wednesday April 21st 2010
A foggy morning always makes for good atmospheric shots. Here I am - walking across the Pyrmont Bridge at about 7.30am and Darling Harbour is covered in cloudy mist.
Day 108 - Monday April 19th 2010
So I spent the whole day in Melbourne and all I got was this lousy picture from my window seat on the plane!

Day 106 - Saturday April 17th 2010
** NEW FAVOURITE PHOTO **
Tim and I went on a great road trip today down near Wollongong to have a drink at the Scarborough Hotel. It was a fantastic view, matched by over priced food and a lovely glass of wine. On the way back we made a few stops - including this Hang-gliding area. With the coast on the side, container ships at sea - made for a great shot.

Day 105 - Friday April 16th 2010
I never claim to be a great bowler. But when a foe from the UK - who once snatched a game of bowling out from under my nose in Russia - I really had to beat his top score. Especially when he'd just gloated the night before that he'd got 129. Hmmm... does that score say 138..!!??

Day 96 - Wednesday 7th April 2010
Welcome back to the Pizza Blog within a Blog - as Tim and I work to eat our way through the 10 Best Pizza Places in Sydney. This week it's Lucio's Pizza in Darlinghurst. The venue was great - nestled in among the old Republic Building on Palmers st. But how was the Pizza? The crust was a lot thicker than our other favourites, and not quite as crispy. The toppings were very fresh - the mozarella on mine the best I've tasted. Tim had a calzone - he cheated. Out of the 3 we've made it to from the Top 10 though, it didn't quite cut it. We rated it #3 so far.
Day 95 - Tuesday 6th April 2010
I will not take another photo of food.... so instead we're getting into some more abstract still lifes in the kitchen with the vodka bottle.

Day 93 - Sunday 4th April 2010
It's Easter Sunday - and what does that mean? Delivery of EGGS! But that's not what today's photo is about. No it's back to our kitchen for what should really be called 'A Series of Still Lifes of Food and the Red Chopping Board".
This time around it's Cheese and Grater - the final part to our freshly bought pasta from Haberfield.

Day 92 - Saturday 3rd April 2010
Tim and I live right next door to Haberfield - but we rarely visit. Regarded as having some of the best pasta and deli foods in Sydney - we thought that we should stock up on some Italian food (it being the Easter long weekend and all). There were lines outside the most popular bakeries, but on the advice of Tim's mum - we found a fresh pasta store and bought up. Here's a picture from the main intersection.

I'm in the mood for soups at the moment. And today the craving is the best Pho in Marrickville. Pho Bac Hai Duong on Illawara Road has been recognised as serving the best Pho in Sydney - and with a Beef (Tim) and Seafood (me) serving in our tummies we had to agree.

Day 87 - Monday 29th March 2010
Remember a few posts back I said this blog had a blog within it = the Pizza Blog? Let's add one more to the list. Not one of the Top 10 in Sydney, it's definately the most original toppings. Felafel and zucchini anyone? Sometimes dinner at the parents house means odd meals.
Day 86 - Sunday 28th March 2010
Today Tim and I took a two hour walk to Balmain and back. Tim also decided that he was going to eat five meals in that walk too. Starting with a Thai Beef Salad for breakfast, Chocolate Milk for Brunch, we were up to lunch at around 11am. Enter the Frosty Fruit at the BP station for this meal.
