Day 87 - Monday 29th March 2010

Remember a few posts back I said this blog had a blog within it = the Pizza Blog? Let's add one more to the list. Not one of the Top 10 in Sydney, it's definately the most original toppings. Felafel and zucchini anyone? Sometimes dinner at the parents house means odd meals.

Day 86 - Sunday 28th March 2010

Today Tim and I took a two hour walk to Balmain and back. Tim also decided that he was going to eat five meals in that walk too. Starting with a Thai Beef Salad for breakfast, Chocolate Milk for Brunch, we were up to lunch at around 11am. Enter the Frosty Fruit at the BP station for this meal.

Day 85 - Saturday 27th March 2010

It was the first time I'd been over to see Sarah in Randwick all year. We had a lovely lunch, went to Bondi to shop... but I didn't take a single photo. Lucky I had lots of work to do today as well so here's a photo of my diary. (Like how I label my pens?)

Day 84 - Friday 26th March 2010

So we need to start a Blog within a Blog now as Tim has discovered the Ultimate Sydney Pizza List. Yes - we now need to spend the rest of the year trying each of these Pizza Places. We've done Rosso Pomodorro - so now it's time to try Haberfield's best - La Disfida. On a double date with Tim's Parents - we ate fresh Sardines followed by 3 pizzas and fresh berries for dessert - and I have a feeling this could be the current #1 Pizza in Sydney... but watch this space.

Day 83 - Thursday 25th March 2010

Okay - so the sunrise wasn't quite this red, but it was pretty spectacular as I headed to the tram stop at the terrible hour of 6.30am this morning!

Day 82 - Wednesday 24th March 2010

I feel weird taking photos of food at VERY fancy restaurants. Today me and some of the girls were having a mid-week special dinner at Est. I couldn't resist when my sashimi came out covered in flowers! And it was very yummy.

Day 81 - Tuesday 23rd March 2010

There's a common understanding in our house that toes are disgusting. Like gross little worms that crawl along the ground and hit in shoes and socks. So here are my toes in all their yuckiness.

Day 80 - Monday 22nd March 2010

It's another uninspired Monday - so let's head outside and see what the sky has to offer. Oh - what's that - another plane? Let's make sure it's a bit blurry, look at the colours it creates!

Day 79 - Sunday 21st March 2010

So there are a few posts about our backyard, and all of the plans that we've managed to kill. One thing we can't kill is the lawn. It just keeps on growing. And since we haven't managed to get a lawnmower yet, it's all got a bit out of control. Hence the jungle shot.

Day 78 - Saturday 20th March 2010

It was our best friends' wedding today - and I was unofficial official photographer for the day. With such an amazing dress as subject material, and a bride to be with a great vege patch - it was only sensible to take photos of the dress IN the garden. Hence my tomato shot.

Day 77 - Friday 19th March 2010

We work in a new office building in Pyrmont - meaning that you'll often arrive at work to find a new piece of something. Today that new piece was this really scary statue. Kids and black metal make you feel kind of creepy.

Day 76 - Thursday 18th March 2010

Today I was in Crows Nest for an all day client workshop. Best news about that was I could get a great cup of coffee from Xenos - which in my opinion has the best coffee on the North Shore. And from looking at the coffee grinder it must be true!

Day 74 - Tuesday 16th March 2010

It's an exercise in capturing Still Life's in the home this week. So here is my empty frozen icey treat container. Don't you love the dribbles of red against the plastic and the sharp shadows it casts. Yeah whatever.

Day 75 - Wednesady 17th March 2010

When you go to client dinners, it's not long before the Google phone comes out and you're showing off the new features. Even though we were having a lovely dinner at Flying Fish the photo on the phone taken by one of my guests wasn't that fancy. Didn't even get a photo of the food! (and yes - blocked out the guest for privacy reasons!)

Day 73 - Monday 15th March 2010

So who is behind this crazy Photo of the Day blog. It's me! and here I am taking a photo of myself. Oooh - how post modern. And yes - another uninspired Monday where I didn't want to bore you with another photo of our dinner. (Spaghetti - what a surprise!)

Day 73 - Sunday 14th March 2010

Unfortunately this is probably the worst photo of the blog (well, there had to be one didn't there!) - but lucky it was taken at one of the best nights out... the Pixies! At the Hordern Pavilion. Yes it wasn't as good as seeing them the last time they were out (twice), but when Kim Deal is on stage who really cares.

Day 72 - Saturday 13th March 2010

We had a BBQ tonight for some friends, and since our friendly local butcher didn't have any crocodile - we opted for a whole fish from the fish markets. Get a snapper, stuff with lemongrass, ginger and garlic, then top with a whole lot of salt. Then BBQ for about 30 mins until cooked and crispy. Yummy.

Saturday, March 13, 2010

Day 71 - Friday 12th March 2010

Tim got a new pair of shoes in the post today. Slayer Vans. To go with the Hat.. and the record... and the beer cooler.... and the...

Day 70 - Thursday 11th March 2010

What's a meal at the local pub without chips. It's been a tough week at work, a horrible day - and instead of going to the gym, we thought fish and chips at the Orange Grove pub was a much better idea.

Day 69 - Wednesday 10th March 2010

Saw Malcolm Fraser speak at the Seymour Centre tonight - with Ray Martin as host. Wasn't able to get a picture of Mr Dismissal - but did get one of the Masala Dosa we ate at Newtown after. Like the black and white and yellow affect?

Day 68 - Tuesday 12th March 2010

I guess Tuesday's are as hard as Monday's. Here is my sink and the dishes. A lovely arty black and white set up.

Day 67 - Monday 8th March 2010

I've found that Monday's are the hardest days to take new photos. Tired from work, the beginning of a new week - hardly inspiring stuff. So it's a challenge to find something in the house to take a photo of - try out a new angle, play around in Photoshop - and see what happens. Like our horrible bathmat. Who would have thought you could make it look a bit more interesting?

Day 66 - Sunday 7th March 2010

Long, slow roasted tomatoes are my new secret weapon in the kitchen. For these little fella's, after 4 hours in the oven they ended up as yummy tomato soup. Perfect hangover food - and 100% Yum rating from Timmy.

Day 65 - Saturday 6th March 2010

It's a Hen's Day today - and with a lack of strippers, we've taken ourselves to Luna Park for a few hours of Coney Island slides, Roller coasters and of course - everyone's favourite - the Ferris Wheel. Spoiled for choice in terms of photos today.

Day 64 - Friday 5th March 2010

Our friend is celebrating her birthday - and it's a private room at Jazz Sushi in Surry Hills. It's a night of Agadashi Tofu and way too much sake. Not an ideal way to break FebFast. Here's the shot from the dinner table.

Day 63 - Thursday 4th March 2010

Wowee Zowee! We went to see Pavement at the Enmore Theatre.... and I got to see fresh new graffiti in the ladies toilets. Shows that it must have been a good show. And it was!

Thursday, March 4, 2010

Day 62 - Wednesday 3rd March 2010

Dinner with the Family at The Spanish Fly in Randwick. I'm always a bit iffy about Tapas. Either it's cheap and oily (which this wasn't) or amazingly delicious but overpriced (which this was). 5 pieces of mushroom tortellini for $15...!? So I didn't manage a photo of the food (Parents think that's a bit weird) but instead this great retro ticket machine in "the spot" carpark.

Day 61 - Tuesday 2nd March 2010

What is the perfect present for a new baby? Why a handmade Slayer shirt of course!

Day 60 - Monday 1st March 2010

It's the first day of March - and you know what that means... the end of FebFast. Meeting up with some friends we met in Laos, Tim broke his fast with a beer (or two) of the golden ale. Does this not look like the new poster for a beer ad campaign?

Day 59 - Sunday 28th February 2010

On our way home from Nelson Bay - we had to have a Pie. And not just any pie - these are Ned's Pies! Can you guess what Pie I had? Here's a Picture.... (It's Lobster and Crab and Scallop!)

Day 58 - Saturday 27th February 2010

Day 2 in Nelson Bay, and it was hours of watching boats in the morning, going for walks after breakfast, kayaking before lunch, prawns, fish and chips and ice cream. The whole time we have a beautiful view of the Bay - so here's my favourite photo of the day.

Day 57 - Friday 26th February 2010

Tim and I are having a weekend away in Nelson Bay. Ahhhh. We arrive about 10pm on Friday night - and have a gorgeous view across the water complete with a big shiny moon. Here's my attempt to capture the serenity...
